Classic Run from HAPPY MO

Excitement filled the air at the Turffontein Classic Day 2024 as ‘Happy Mo’ clinched her first career win at the Jermaine Craig Memorial Maiden Plate (F & M) 1600m. This victory was even more significant given that she had recently undergone a throat procedure following her second run. The successful operation proved invaluable as Happy Mo, guided by the skilled jockey Gavin Lerena, raced to the finish line in style and won by 5 lengths.

A special mention to the proud owners – Messrs J F & L M F Wernars and Mrs T J Wernars. Despite being away to attend another race for their runner at the Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, they watched and cheered for Happy Mo remotely. Our appreciation also goes out to Stonehill Stud for their outstanding work in breeding Happy Mo.

Overall, the Turffontein Classic Day 2024 was a beautiful day. Full credit to the team at 4Racing who organised and managed the event.
