Double Happiness
After a busy Thursday & Friday at the National August 2-Year-Old Sales in Germiston Bloodstock SA, our stable celebrated a well-deserved double victory over the Weekend at the Turffontein Racecourse. It all started with FAR REACHING (Vercingetorix – Flying Fable), who finally showed some potential winning by an incredible 13 lengths. Despite being quite small, we believed we had found the perfect race for her, faring well with 57 kg against the colts. The winning margin was a bit of a surprise though as we expected the boys to be cheeky as always, but to our delight, FAR REACHING lived up to her name.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. CHASING HAPPINNES (Rafeef (AUS) – Kalami by Daylami) took the spotlight in Race 7 the RACEHORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION GRADUATION PLATE with a convincing win. Under the hands of S’manga Khumalo, she delivered as a favourite and brought home our first double of the season, making it our fourth win this season overall. What made the race even more exciting was that stablemate HAPPY MO finished a close second, giving us an exacta finish. Khumalo’s skilful riding has always been a real asset in the industry, and we’re happy to announce he’ll be taking more rides from our stable going forward.
