CHARITY MILE (Grade 2)
Exciting victory! Puerto Manzano, under the skilled hands of Gavin Lerena, galloped to glory in the Allied Steelrode Onamission Charity Mile Grade 2, supporting SARDA Centre, an organization that provides therapeutic horse riding programs for individuals with disabilities. 🥇🏁
Challenge (Grade 1)
Johan Janse van Vuuren capped a happy 41st birthday celebration of note at Turffontein, when he saddled three winners, including our Argentinian hero Puerto Manzano who made it a double for the stable when winning the R250 000 Gr3 London News Stakes.
Bouncing back from a below par effort in the 2022 Hollywoodbets Durban July, Puerto Manzano capped a fine training performance after two promising prep runs, to give trainer Johan Janse van Vuuren and the well invested Wernars family a first (Gr 1) winner in the Highveld flagship.
CHARITY MILE (Grade 2)
The Epworth Children’s Home joined the Bingwa supporters as an elated beneficiary charity as the Stonebridge family celebrated a successful title defence in 2022's R800 000 Allied Steelrode-Onamission Gr2 Charity Mile at Turffontein.
