A Thrilling Start to the Highveld Spring/Summer Racing Season

The atmosphere at Turffontein Racecourse was electric as the spring/summer racing season kicked off with a bang, setting the stage for what promises to be yet another unforgettable summer. The day’s highlight came in Race 9, where our team didn’t just win—we secured an incredible trifecta!

Leading the charge was KARANGETANG, guided to victory by the talented Rachel Venniker. It was a pleasure to finally have Rachel’s services, and she certainly brought her A-game. Her performance was nothing short of spectacular, and we couldn’t be happier to have checked that box. A true masterclass in letting the horse find its rhythm.

To add to the day’s excitement, a new friend’s partnership on YAMADORI yielded a delightful outcome, securing a third-place finish in a thrilling late run. It’s always heartwarming when a budding friendship in the racing community translates into success on the track, and we couldn’t be more pleased with this promising beginning.

As we look ahead to the upcoming feature races, there’s a noticeable sense of anticipation in the air for BARBARESCO. If this opening day is anything to go by, we’re in for an exceptional summer cup season. We’re particularly excited to see how our horses will continue to improve and what surprises they might bring in the races to come.
