We are thrilled to announce our successful participation at the prestigious 2024 CAPE RACING PREMIER YEARLING SALE POWERED BY TATTERSALLS. Our team headed by Justin Vermaak and stable backbone Laurence Wernars who partner up with Messrs T Gujadhur and R M Sewgoolam, thoroughly perused through the string of the 2024 crop and brought home seven promising yearlings.

Our bid began with Lot No. 14, an unnamed filly born from Captain of All and Fortissima, purchased for R200,000. She carries the bloodline of the famous Fort Wood (USA), courtesy of her dam. Klawervlei Stud offered her up for sale as an agent.

Next, we welcomed Merryweather (Lot No. 39), a bright eye-catcher. This filly, pitched by Varsfontein Stud, was ours for R650,000. She is the offspring of Gimmethegreenlight (AUS) and Maleficent, carrying Judpot’s influential genetic profile in her lineage.

We continued our pursuits with Pretty Persuasive (Lot No. 58) and Pivotal Role (Lot No. 63), both hailing from Maine Chance Farms but carrying their distinct characteristics. Pretty Persuasive was bought for R800,000, while Pivotal Role made for our priciest acquisition at R2,000,000. The latter, a majestic colt, promises exciting times ahead.

Our buy at R350,000 was Dragonheart (Lot No. 67) from Ridgemont. This promising colt is the progeny of Canford Cliffs (IRE) and Royale Noir, with influential sire, Black Minnaloushe (USA), being his broodmare sire.

Next, we successfully bid for King Redoute (Lot No. 76). This colt, a product of Ambiance Stud, was secured for R700,000. The offspring of Rafeef (AUS) and She’s a Pippa holds an unmistakable aura of added prestige with a broodmare sire- Var (USA) in his pedigree.
