Mastering our 50th Win for the Season

We have hit an exciting milestone this season with our 50th win. Pride washed over us as MASTER CASPER crossed the finish line, securing a win on his Highveld debut. After two promising starts in the Cape formline, this time he showcased solid stamina and professionalism, much to the team’s delight.

We owe this victory to our robust team of owners the Wernars family who have shown super faith in our capabilities. A round of applause is in order for our man in the saddle, jockey Gavin Lerena, who displayed exceptional horsemanship successfully guiding MASTER CASPER to the finish line. Lerena’s handling of the reins and understanding of the course was inspiring.

MASTER CASPER Querari (GER) x La Volta by Var (USA) was a standout purchase at the 2023 Cape Premier Yearling Sale powered by Tattersalls, he was secured by Justin Vermaak for R900,000 coming from vendor Winterbach Stud lot 56. Notably, he is a half-brother to Master Archie, adding to the excitement around his racing potential. Bred by Messrs V Harry & A A Azzie, his strong pedigree was a significant factor in our decision to acquire him, and he has already started proving his worth on his first run as a Gelding. Well done team!
