WINS AT VAAL AND TURFFONTEIN
A successful day to end a super week, our horses and team have been on fire, winning races at both Vaal and Turffontein. Both our winners were favourites, and attracted solid market support, ensuring punters left with a little extra change in their pockets.
At Vaal on Thursday, SO SEDUCTIVE ridden by Piere Strydom won Race 3 the PLAY SOCCER 6, 10 AND 13 FM 80 HANDICAP (F & M). She’s a beautiful big filly owned by the Wernars family, and she was bred by Klawervlei Stud along with the late Mr D G Abery whose legacy will continue to shine through her achievements. She indeed charmed the punters well into the first leg of the Pick 6. A progeny of Sire: Vercingetorix & Dam: Myfunnyvalentine by Captain Al.

Fast forward to Saturday at Turffontein Inside, CHESTNUT BOMBER ridden by Gavin Lerena won the last race 8 the NOVICE HANDICAP. He’s a son of the famous Sire: Lancaster Bomber (USA) & Dam: Chestnuts n Pearls by Horse Chestnut, and he’s owned by the Wernars and Sewgoolam families. Drakenstein Stud bred him. Our team did a great job finishing first and second in this race. A gutsy win indeed as he had to fight off the finish with his stablemate KUDZU who was coming off a lengthy layoff of 233 days, definitely one to follow on the upcoming races.
